Privacy Policy

RiggedResume ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. What We Collect

  • Email address — A cryptographic hash of your email is stored to enforce free-tier gating. Your raw email address is stored in our email marketing platform for transactional and marketing communications.
  • Resume content — Your resume is processed entirely in memory. The optimized PDF is emailed directly to you as an attachment and then purged. We never store your resume on our servers.
  • Job listing content — The job description you provide is processed in memory alongside your resume and then purged. It is never stored.

2. What We Do Not Collect

  • Passwords — No account is required, so no passwords are collected.
  • Payment card information — All payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Browsing history — We do not track your browsing activity across sites or within the Service.

3. Data Retention

  • Resume and job listing data — Never stored. Processed in memory and purged immediately after your optimized resume is emailed to you.
  • Pipeline metadata (processing times, token counts — no PII) may be retained for analytics.
  • Email hash is retained for purchase tracking and free-tier gating.
  • Raw email address is retained in our email platform until you request removal.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate RiggedResume. Each processes data only as necessary to provide its function:

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details directly and is subject to its own privacy policy.
  • Railway — Hosts the web application, PDF processing service, and database. Purchase records and email hashes (no PII) are stored in a managed PostgreSQL instance.
  • Resend — Sends transactional emails with your optimized resume attached.
  • Cloudflare R2 — Stores pipeline metadata only (processing times, no resume content).
  • AI Processing (via OpenRouter) — Resume and job listing text is sent to AI models for analysis and keyword generation. We use Zero Data Retention (ZDR) providers where available, meaning your text is processed in-flight and not stored by the model providers. OpenRouter's data handling is governed by its own privacy policy.

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to maintain your optimization session state. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your email address from our marketing list.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link included in every email.
  • Request information about what data we hold associated with your email address.
